On the north facing slopes above the Artle Beck, the  and Rhododendron Wood is thickly planted with many different Rhododendron species, which flower throughout the season right up to July. They are complemented by a number of Daphne Bholua, Magnolias, Sorbus and Acers, among many other species of trees and shrubs.
