The Wild Garden and Spring Borders are planted with Primulas, Trilliums and herbaceous planting, set amongst shrubs such as Cornus 'Norman Hadden' and various magnolias, which flower at different times. Later flowering herbaceous plants – such as Astilbe, Euphorbia, peonies and shrub specie roses – are followed by autumn flowering Molinia, Panicum, Sporobolus and late herbaceous plants such as Monarda and Kniphofia.
